Established in 1965, Command Hospital (Southern Command) in Pune, Maharashtra, stands as one of the largest and most advanced tertiary care hospitals under the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS). Spread over 65 acres in the Wanowrie area, the hospital complex is a self-contained healthcare ecosystem.
Our primary mandate is to provide comprehensive medical cover to serving personnel, veterans, and their families of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force under the Southern Command. In line with our commitment to national service, we also extend advanced medical care to civilian patients, contributing significantly to public health in the Pune region and beyond.
The hospital operates under the aegis of the Directorate General of Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS), New Delhi, and is affiliated with the Army Hospital (Research & Referral), Delhi.
